Emporia Home Battery System owners with or without solar can participate if:

They are a residential customer of either Duke Energy or Duke Energy Progress in North Carolina.
The maximum export to the grid from the customer's energy system does not exceed 20 kW-AC at any time.
The installed equipment maintains internet connectivity to provide required operation and operating characteristic data.
