Job Description

At Emporia, we create software and hardware to manage home energy. We are seeking a Senior Software Project Manager to implement software project management best practices across our frontend, firmware, and cloud development teams.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating communication, aligning project timelines, and ensuring the successful execution of projects by leveraging the Atlassian suite of project management tools. This role will report to the Chief Product Officer.

Your work will involve:

  • Acting as a liaison among firmware, cloud, and app development teams to ensure project alignment and efficient workflow.
  • Implement and maintain project management best practices using the Atlassian suite, including setting up boards, managing sprints, and generating reports.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
  • Help the software team maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and schedules.
  • Identify project risks and dependencies, and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with product management and technical leads to define project scopes and objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and successes regularly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in software development
  • Expertise in agile methodologies and agile project management 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner) is a plus.

  • Atlassian Suite experience.
